Special features

At Oakmount we continually strive to provide the best service we can to all parents and children. As well as all that is on offer within the rooms we have number of special features throughout the nursery that we are lucky enough to have recieved awards for and a special mention by OFSTED resulting in an Outstanding rating in some areas of our inspection. These are.......

Swimming and Dancing lessons with Aquability swim school and Reeders dance studio.
Menu display and booklet featuring pictures of the food along with a description and ingredients. (We are happy to supply any parent with recipes for any of the menus we serve.)
Digital photo frame in the main hallway showing many activities, events and just a random selection of pictures of the children.
Parents lending library featuring many childcare books by respected authors.
Children's resource library where books, toys and resource packs can be borrowed from the nursery.
Digital photo frames in all rooms showing daily activities for parents to view when picking up.
Gallery hallway where, at Christmas we have a 14ft real Christmas tree with NSPCC presents underneath.
Parents information area housing the lending library, children's resource library along with endless amounts of information from the nursery's risk assessments, health and safety file and policies through to our own specially made leaflets on the sensory room, treasury baskets, heuristic play and many, many more.
Healthy eating award along with 5* rating from environmental health department and special recognition from the Mayor.
'Home and away' boards in each room where parents and children bring in stories, photo's, leaflets and information from home showing the exciting things they have done at weekends or days out.
Nursery photographer (S & J Walkden photography) visiting twice a year, in the summer and at Christmas.
Library visits from Lancashire County Council library service.
